Leaving a Legacy to give young people a home

When it comes to leaving a legacy, we understand that your family and friends come first. After providing for your loved ones, choosing to leave a gift in your Will to Shelter Community will help support some of the most vulnerable young people to give them a home when they need it most.

  • If you have any questions or would like to discuss how your legacy gift could be used, please get in touch with us. We would also be grateful if you could let us know if you decide to leave a gift to Shelter Community, so we can keep an accurate record.

  • Creating or updating a Will is straightforward and often more affordable than expected. We recommend using a solicitor or qualified Will writer. They may ask if you would like to make one of the following:

    • A residuary gift, which is a percentage of your estate

    • A pecuniary gift, which is a fixed amount of money

    • A specific gift, such as a valuable item or possession
